Death A clan of commitment/honor best describes us. We are committed to each other and to our beliefs. Our clans philosophy is simple, we will strive our hardest to win, but we will not win at the cost of our honor. We believe a victory without honor is not a victory worth having. We are a beacon among other clans, we stand out by example. In a time where many clans have resorted to cheating etc, we have stood fast. Our refusal to lower ourselves to cheating or other dishonorable actions just to win. |

golly-gee-willickers wally! Yup you see it right... an actual site
update... Welp long story short we had kind of idled away after not
competing anymore and after the q2 days never really found
"the" game to unite behind that we all liked and could have
fun with. As such we just played diff games for fun and game hopped as
soon as each new game came out..
BUT, you may ask, "so why the site update then?" Well, because we might just have found the new game for us. For the first time in a couple years we have a game that we all seem to love and love playing. Not since Q2 days has this really been the case. So who knows, we may just get back into the swing of things here. So you may ask "Ok so what game is so great that its getting some of you old foggies outta retirement?" Well, simply put it would be a game called BattleField 2! Currently a bunch of our old friends and some new ones are playing it a lot with us. If this keeps up we might look at reforming the team some to play this great new game in a more competitve way. We'll see, regardless of it being competitive or for fun, we'll still be playing and having a blast doing so. So feel free to stop by #clan_vd on irc.enterthegame.com and join us =) Also I have recovered our old gaming records/demos <1999 and put them in the matches sections. I also have found some of our demos from late 1999 - early 2000 that we could watch to add to these sections too but i kind of seriously doubt anyone cares much about old q2 records nowadays anyways. So unless someone finds a lot of free time to watch them and record them they prob won't be added. The About us page has been recovered from an older site. after a little bit of work we have a newly revamped site, hope ya like
it. =)
In other news we've managed to find some old backups of news we thought we had lost from 1998, as well as our matches from then. Unfortunately we still have no record of our 1999 games or early 1999 news. The best real part that came from this is we managed to get the exact date the clan was started which was so long ago it was long since forgotten, and with the news wiped on our old site no record existed anymore. We are going to include our old records back from when we were in competition in 98 along with demos since we found copies of most of that. In the end though we still are missing tons of news and tons of past match records. =( Also there is a good chance we may be looking to go back into competition sometime soon. We are unsure yet. Currently we have been playing Tribes2 and Q3 Urban Terror, so it would probably be for one or both of those games. -WHiZ- |

boy oh boy.. since our site was up last so much has changed with us... so much has changed with the community... the community continued to snowball downhill.. nothing like it used to me... we haven't actually had a 100% honorable match as a clan in about a year.. we've idled some members till the quit and booted some others...in the past 2+ years vd has been around.. so much has changed.. the crew we got now is completely diff... but is one i'm happy with... cause now we don't have a clan full of players .. we have a clan full of brothers and sisters... who love to just spend time playing and talking and joking around with one another... its been a very long road to get us where we are.. but i'm happier now with the clan then i ever have been before in my life.. you see at this point.. it is truly a clan.. not just the word clan like everyone else uses. . we r truly a big extended family... through it all my values and ideals haven't changed one bit bout gaming and the community tho.. and the group we have all follows the same ones.. prob why we all get along so well and have so much fun... we believe in a lot of things totally lost to the community... things like.. honor... sportsmanship... brotherhood... truth.. respect.. etc .. yes we r here to play a game.. but not at the sacrifice of our own values.. we would all sooner give up the game completely then ever cheat of do something dishonorable all in the name of winning it.. it is after all just a game.. that's the major distinction between us and the rest of the world right now... we play as an excuse to hang out together and have fun together.. granting winning is cool.. but winning without honor... that's not a win... so what does this all mean? well.. for one.. it means u prob wont' see us in the top 10 ever again.. the clans who got that high got up there dishonorably... o much cheating and poor sportsmanlike playing its not even funny.. bending and twisting rules to favor a win in an unfair game rather then opting for a fair one... i can't honestly say there are even any clans out there left that i truly respect and value... even thinking of players the same happens.. all the old school players i used to know and hang with.. have all either started cheating and doing dishonorable things saying they had to just to be able to compete with all the others who do that.. or they have given up the game in total disgust... i was at that point not too long ago.. only reason i'm still here are my friends... and the fact.. at least together when we play ... it is fun.. and it is still honorable.. people r still good sports... the true spirit of RA is there.... the true spirit of the game itself is there... in any case.. we play pretty much every day... and have a good time doing so.. i truly love all my new brothers and sisters as if they were my own... great bunch... here is to u guys.. u r the best that has ever happened to the community... maybe what's left of it can still change and learn from you and those like you... welp i'm gonna end it there and get ready to go play... cya all in a few =) -WHiZ- |

last week we had our first Q2CTF match since we gave it up in January.
It shows we still have a long way to go with where we are now compared
to where we want to be, but there is no way any of us could nto be
pleased with the results.. we played an excellent game and took it 1165
to 24 in frags.. both clans played an excellent game and DoD didn't make
it easy especially with thier great grapple-monkey skills.. =) .. hope

after much debate etc.. we have decided to rejoin OGL... under no
circumstances does this mean we agree with their corruptness or
bullshit, but frankly they are the only competition worth being in at
this moment... But even that we had quite the debate over. By rejoining
in competitions we know we are going to lose matches... not something we
like to do... Especially because odds are we won't lose by being
outclassed in skill... it will be to the rash of cheaters, lamers,
dishonorable clans, and poor sportsmanlike clans..
most of us are quite disappointed in the quake2 community at this point in time... honorable clans are all a thing of the past... the ra2 scene specifically is built up of an overwhelming majority of clans doing anything they can to get ahead and win... by any means necessary.. be it cheating... be it breaking the code of conduct... be it pulling clan/rule bullshit making u play with 200+ pings vs their sub 50 on their lan server.. be it them using voice com giving health and locations.. be it bots.. be it any number of the many lame things most of the ra2 clans do nowadays... because of this a couple of our members didn't' even want us to rejoin ra2 despite the fact we love it... We decided to press forward anyways... the argument is why play a game you know you can't win... if they are going to break the code of honor or cheat... the only way you can compete with them is to do the same... that's what most clans have done.. sunk to the same level... this is NOT something we will do... if we lose in record.. we lose in record... but I'd rather die honorably then win with none... more so, the only way we truly lose is if we give up... If we play maintaining our honor in a less then honorable game, then in my eyes we have stood up against the enemy's lameness and won, regardless of the score... I'm confident we will have a record showcasing our teamwork and talent... we will win most if not all fair games we play... but the community has changed so much since it first started.. that those games are far and in-between... it gets very hard nowadays to still come ahead of people who will resort to such harsh tactics to win... in any case.. we will push forward and do our best... also we have decided its about time we took ctf back up... so look for us there as well... good luck to all.. -WHiZ- |

and EggFuzZ decide to leave Phase2(one of the top CTF clans in the
world) to form a new clan. They gather up many old friends, from when
they all were in the legendary VoV(Vanguards of Vengence), to see if
they would like to join the clan. History is soon made by the creation
of Clan Virtual Death. The first day's lineup is: EggFuzZ, WHiZ, Zrbite,
Chesspud, Rumen, and sweaty.
